About

Tennis Draw Challenge ("TDC") is a free fantasy tennis game where participants may compete in two different formats. The bracket format involves making predictions of match winners for the entire draw while the team format focuses on trying to choose the best performing players in each tournament subject to seasonal quotas. TDC currently covers 65 tournaments at the ATP 250, ATP 500, ATP 1000, and Grand Slam tiers and 59 tournaments at the WTA International, Premier, and Grand Slam tiers with bracket predictions involving singles, main draw matches. TDC is not affiliated with ATP Tour, Inc., ATP World Tour Draw Challenge Circuit, WTA Tour, Inc., or WTA Draw Challenge in any way.

Brackets

Predictions for each tournament are made in a bracket layout by clicking on the player you think will win a match starting from the first round and continuing until the final round in which you predict the winner. Tournament predictions may be made in the time between the earliest draw availability and the first scheduled match of the tournament. TDC will attempt to process draws and open brackets for predictions as soon as full draws are determined.

The Bracket page lists current and upcoming playable tournaments. The Bracket Selection Time (in UTC/GMT ± 0 time zone) column will be updated once tournament schedules are published to reflect the actual time frame in which you can make predictions. Times shown for upcoming tournaments are approximate. Once a tournament bracket is open, visit Edit Bracket and click on Edit to make your predictions. Predictions must be saved before the time (in UTC/GMT ± 0) listed in the Selection Time Ends column.

JavaScript must be enabled to make predictions. In the Edit Bracket page for an available tournament, click on the player name you think will win each match starting from left to right until you fill out the entire bracket. Optional tie-breakers may be entered, but these will only be used to determine future prizes and will not affect rankings. Click on Update Bracket at the bottom of the page to save your selections. Predictions may be changed and saved until the bracket selection time ends. Note that partially filled (or otherwise incomplete) brackets will still be awarded points for any correct match prediction, but you will miss out on potential points for any blank match predictions.

Teams

The fantasy team format focuses on long-term strategies in choosing players for your team at each tournament, with an emphasis on overall season performance. You can pick 4 to 7 players each tournament depending on the tournament tier (4 for ATP 250/WTA International, 5 for ATP 500/WTA Premier, 6 for ATP 1000/WTA Premier 5/Premier Mandatory, and 7 for Grand Slams). There is also a limit of 8 tournaments for each player in a single tennis season (in other words, the same player can only be used in 8 different tournaments).

The Team page lists current and upcoming playable tournaments. The Team Selection Time (in UTC/GMT ± 0 time zone) column will be updated once tournament schedules are published to reflect the actual time frame in which you can choose players for your teams. Times shown for upcoming tournaments are approximate. Team selection runs on the same schedule and deadlines as the bracket selection. Visit Edit Team and click on Edit to make your selections.

In the Edit Team page for an available tournament, click on the checkboxes next to the names of players to select them and click on Update Team to save your changes. Team choices may be changed and saved until the team selection time ends.

Bracket Scoring

Participants will earn points with each correct match prediction as follows:

Tier R128 / 96 R64 / 56 / 48 R32 R16 QF SF F
ATP 250 / WTA 250 - 1 1 2 3 4 6
ATP 500 / WTA 500 - 1 1 2 4 8 12
ATP / WTA 1000 1 1 2 4 8 12 16
Grand Slam 1 2 4 8 12 16 20

Team Scoring

Participants will earn points with each match win by the players chosen on their ATP or WTA team. The score will be equal to the official ATP or WTA points allocated at each round of the tournament. The only exception to the official ATP/WTA points system is that wildcard entrants in the main draw will also receive first round points as their score for losing instead of zero points (this applies to all WTA tournaments and Masters 1000/Grand Slam tiers for ATP tournaments).
